 Detailed review:

Have had 2 other Suburbans in the past- '02 and an '04. Both LS Models. My latest the '05 is an LT version w/ Autoride and pretty much maxed out on all the options save the Navigation System. If you are in the market for a used Suburban prior to the '07 body style change INVEST in the LT version w/ Autoride. It makes one heck of a difference- a noticeably huge difference on the dramatic pitch and yaw the 'burbs w/o autoride like to do in the curves and windy roads. Yes this is of course due to their huge profile, center of gravity and weight- BUT the Autoride Option negates a lot of that. This was the first thing I noticed when driving it. The self leveling rear end is also nice as well as the tow package included. I have had no problems towing my 29 foot travel trailer climbing up I-70 into the Rocky Mountains as leaving Denver. Dollar for square footage and all all the utility the Suburban is your best bet for folks with large families and those who like to tow boats and RV's. Negatives; Its a GM product- get the extended warranty if offered. My 2002 had a ton of problems with only 40000 miles on it. (It was probably built on a Friday) Gas mileage- NOT Good but then again not terrible either. My Toyota Tundra go worse mileage with a much smaller engine. Look on the bright side .. it does take E-85! Average MPG city for me=16 / HWY 18/ HWY flatland no wind - 20 MPG.
