Whenever I unlock the liftgate from inside the car, then get out of the car and shut the driver's door it forces the liftgate to lock. |

Detailed review: |
I purchased a 2003 Certified Pre-Owned BMW X5 in October 2006. The car had 50,000 miles on it at the time of purchase. This car has been in the shop since the first day.The moment I drove the car home from the dealership and pulled into my driveway warning lights and bells were going off. In a two-month period my X5 has been in the shop over 6 times. I now know the whole service department on a first name basis. Nothing has been too major, no engine problems yet (knock on wood), but all the problems combined have been a major annoyance. For instance, my car is in the shop right now because today when I was driving down the highway in the pouring rain my windshield wipers stopped working. If you want to purchase a Certified Pre-Owned BMW beware, when I spoke to BMW regarding all the problems the car has had in the past 2 months, BMW responded with 'What do you expect the car is a 2003 with 50,000 miles on it.' Every car I have had in the past I have driven over 100,000 miles without EVER having a problem. BMW claims that a BMW is the “Ultimate Driving Machine”, I would not know, I barely drive my car because it is ALWAYS in the shop.
