Advice to buyer: |
Nothing out of the ordinary |
Detailed review: |
The drivetrain is excellent and represents perhaps the car's strong point. The supercharged version of the 3.8 six zips this hefty 2 door along at an impressive pace. The gas mileage is excellent too, getting over 29 mpg on the highway. Brakes are pretty good for an American car, but pails in stopping power to upscale German and Japanese cars.
The car's weak point is its less than grippy suspension. Like all tried and true Buicks, this Riv tends to wallow a bit, but is tighter than any previous Riviera. This car is best suited to open road, high-speed interstate driving.
Fit and finish is all right, but once again is not quite as good as comparable German and higher end Japanese cars. The car does look great; nothing quite like it on the road. |
