Detailed review: |
I have 100,000 miles on my 97 A8 now and it has been a pleasure to own. To me, the A8 is the perfect vehicle if you live in a snowbelt state. In the snow you get the performance of Quattro all-wheel drive and an interior winter package that leaves little to be desired (non-rusting aluminum exterior also). When the weather warms up, you have a 300 hp luxury sedan that is actually pretty enjoyable in the turns. The styling does not scream 'look at me' but then that is not neccessarily a bad trait. People that know cars tend to eyeball this car, just not the general public. If I lived in the sunbelt, a 740 or S500 would have been more competitive but rear wheel drive is not an option for me. |
