This is a truly great automobile. It is blinding fast, but very smooth riding and luxurious. I have only had it a month so I can't speak to reliability yet.
This is a no compromise stealth wagon. The 340 horses let you know in no uncertain terms you are going somewhere very quickly as your back presses against the seatback and you watch cars disappear in your mirror, but the ride is exceptionally smooth and quiet. The Bose stereo is all you hear. Believe me it competes and I think out does both BMW and Mercedes in terms of its combination of performance, utility and comfort.
Is it worth 60K? Depends on what looking for. If the idea of having a scary fast sleeper wagon as luxiourous as the benz or BMW without the ostentatiousness of those vehicles appeals to you, it just may be worth it. For me personally, I wasn't going to buy a rear wheel drive car as I need the snow capability os all wheel drive for northeast winters, so this factor rejected the BMW early on. The E320 Benz is too ostentatious for me and really does not compete on a performance basis with the S6.
Overall this is a fun, rewarding car to drive. If you can swing it and want the best wagon currently available, go for it! |
