It’s basically the same as the 360 Modena, with some specific modifications. A fully automatic, canvas convertible top folds into a well between the engine bay and the cabin in just 20 seconds, exposing fairings that stretch from behind each seat to evoke the appearance of classic sports cars. Two aluminum roll bars, in collaboration with a redesigned and strengthened windshield frame, provide maximum rollover protection for the Ferrari 360 Spider. Mesh screening between the seats serves as a wind blocker, and the 360 Spider has larger rear engine bay vents than the 360 Modena. Other differences include a 132-pound increase in curb weight, a decrease in aerodynamic downforce, and a lower top speed of 180 mph. But seriously, who needs to do 180 mph in a convertible?
