What's New for the 2005 Land Rover LR3? Replacing the Discovery in this British SUV-builder's lineup for 2005 is the sophisticated 2005 Land Rover LR3. A successful blend of style, comfort, and technology has wrought an impressive luxury sport-ute designed to go head-to-head with the best upscale SUVs on the market. Starting in July of 2005, a new 4.0-liter V6 engine becomes available, slotting in under the formerly standard 300-horsepower 4.4-liter V8. The new V6 makes 216 horsepower, 269 lb.-ft. of torque, can tow 7,700-lbs., and gets 14 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway. The Land Rover LR3 V6 starts at less than $40,000 and can be equipped with an optional Premium Package. Advantages of the 2005 Land Rover LR3:
- Powerful V8 engine
- Slick Terrain Response System
- Available air suspension
- Room for up to seven occupants
- Plenty of style and character
Objections to the 2005 Land Rover LR3: - Fuel thirsty available V8
- Sluggish standard V6
