Championship Off-Road Racing: Chula Vista '06
Championship Off Road Racing (CORR) thundered through the opening two rounds of the 2006 season on May 20th and 21st in Chula Vista, CA. A new venue and track design for the season also brought about record attendance; CORR organizers report that close to 25,000 tickets were sold, over the course of the two-day Nissan Off-Road Opener.
Resultant racing action put several CORR vets in the championship points lead in the pro divisions with 2005 Pro 2 Champ Carl Renezeder taking the early lead in the Pro-4's; and just a year after his Rookie season debut Todd LeDuc posted his first pro win and took the points lead in the Pro-2 division; returning Pro Lite Champ Jeff Kincaid, intent on keeping the Championship title captured the points lead in the Pro Lites. In the other 2 classes competing this weekend, Jeff Knupp took the points lead in Single Buggy and Steve Krieman is the early points leader in Super Buggy.
