Favorite feature: |
Comfortable seating and easy access to all controls. Great visability. |
Least favorite feature: |
Fuel economy, even with the 5.4 L engine it doesn't seem to have the power on hills. |
Advice to buyer: |
Keep the truck on the scheduled maintenance program and have a trouble free vehicle. |
Detailed review: |
Just turned 140,000 miles on my truck. To date nothing has failed on the Expedition. I have kept up service on the transmission and cooling system as per specs, but other than that only oil changes and one set of tires at 78,200 miles. Comfortable ride, reliable, and interior leather holding up well. The 5.4 engine is tough on fuel, this 2 wheel drive model is averaging 14.9 mpg with mostly highway driving. The easy reving SOHC 5.4 engine is very smooth and quiet, transmission shifts exceptionally smooth, even at 140,000. I wouldn't mind at this time trading on a 2006 but with the truck still operating and looking like a new vehicle it doesn't make sense to sell with the trade-in value low, based on the high mileage. |
