I first thought I had bought a lemon 8 years ago. The roof liner kept coming out of the sun-roof trim. Small issue but for a brand new car, it bothered me. I brought it back many times, they put new liner in like 3 times but it just always came loose. Finally I forgot about it. Now, it is a small price to pay. I have over 235,ooo (yes you read right) miles on it. still gets the same 27 mpg i got 8 years ago and the temp gauge still reads the same (just below the middle). I've done regular maintenance, oil changes, tires, brakes etc. The only thing i procrastinated on bit me in the___ later. I should have changed the timing belt after the second 100,000 miles so at 217,000 of course, it broke! And naturally i blew the engine and had to replace it. Got a 2002 with 42K miles for less than $2k. I am sure that if I'd have changed that timing belt the original engine would still be purring today.( CHANGE THAT BELT AFTER 100K) But I'm as happy as can be with it. NO frills, kinda boring to drive but still looks good and everything still works. can't complain. |
