They didn't give me much for the trade in- value of Elantra was 50% of what I paid when new!

 Advice to buyer:

Buy Corolla

 Detailed review:

Bought it 2/05. This vehicle is just great! I test drove all Corolla models and the S trim felt more substantial, though I liked them all. I'm 6ft 3 and getting in the car is kind of tough, but once you're in the car, it's fine for me. I got the manual, and it's fun to drive, more so than the Chevy Cobalt I test drove. This Corolla is the best small car out there, and if you're thinking of buying it, go for it! Also reliability has been top notch, which wasn't the case with the 2003 Hyundai Elantra I traded in.

 Also considered:

2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R
2005 Chevrolet Cobalt
2005 Honda Civic

2005 Toyota Corolla
