bells and whisles, comfort (at a stand still) , and roomyness
Least favorite feature:
failure to act like a quality stable car at hiway speeds
Advice to buyer:
Take a drive on hwy get the speeds up higher than 65 if it shakes don't buy it
Detailed review:
I have been warned by previous ford explorer and expedition owners that they have a design problem in keeping stable at high speeds. At 65 miles per hour and over the whole care shakes and vibrates. At first one thinks road conditions but when you drive another vehicle the higher the miles per hour the less you feel the speed. Can't tell me this is a design to keep cars running at 50 miles per hour or less to stay within the law. I have many friends that are die hard ford fans but they admit they are always taking their car in for repairs..The ones that stand out are wheel alignments , rear end (gears replacement). Someone needs to alert the government that these design flaws may be related to the deadly accidents blamed on the tires at Firestone when there is evidence that structural design is suspicious at best. To be fair the reason everyone went to ford suv's was because of their wonderful presentation, and their bells and whisles. However performance is more important that perfume....
