Detailed review: |
I was down to either a Scion tC or the G6, and decided to maintain my history of american labeled cars. I love this car. However ... several items have me concerned and the dealer service gentlemen have no answers for my problems. From day 1 of buying the car new I smell antifreeze upon startup. Service checked it out, washed the motor, and could find no leaks. It is still a strong smell, and building cars for years I KNOW what antifreeze smells like. Problem two is a little more concerning. I have a fully loaded GT with 17-inch wheels. When you first start the car, for about the first three or four miles it bounces up and down. Service also has no answer. It is obvious enough that everyone that rides in the car for the first time asks if I have a flat tire. It is rather embarrassing. Lastly, the transmission seems confused to its shift points when you really get on it, like in passing situations. Inefficent shifting with the automatic transmission. If anyone has had the same issues, feel free to email me and let me know what their dealer eventually found to cause the issues above. These issues aside and this car would have received an above average rating to nearly excellent. |
