Advice to buyer: |
Much nicer and quicker than 4 cyl. Altima and so much more car than Civic for not much more money |
Detailed review: |
The 4 cyl gives fair low end response, but really likes to rev high, even with the AT. The fit and finish here makes me wonder why anyone buys a Nissan, other than for looks. I have had only one slight problem; the driver's side door panel rattles slightly on bumps, but it is only a minor annoyance given the otherwise flawless engineering here. For my first Japanese car, this was the perfect choice. The Altima seemed more sluggish, and was plasticky and cheap feeling inside, comparatively.
For only 2K more than the EX Civic, this LX is a ton more car than the Civic ever was.
Civics try to race me a lot, and on the few occasions I took them up on their offer, I smoked them. But Accords are for a more intelligent crowd;penny-wise and quality oriented.
If you want a really fast car, try a 03 Z06 Vette. Civics still try to race me, but I go only after bigger bait in that car! |
