DO NOT PURCHASE IF YOU HAVE BACK PROBLEMS |
Detailed review: |
I spent alot of time trying to purchase what I thought would be the last vehicle I would ever own. I did my homework, including looking at recalls, performance, owner satisfaction, easy of entry for myself and disabled mother, along with reliability and manufacturers reputation. I thought I found the perfect vehicle when I purchased the 2003 Highlander V6 4x2 on January 12, 2003. Since that time I have only been able to drive it 263 miles. The seats are so uncomfortable that I am in tears after 35 miles from the pain to my right leg, neck, shoulders, arms, upper and lower back. The headrest pushes my head forward to the point of being almost on my chest and the seat is so short that it does not provide support to the right eg. I was unable to take the vehicle for an extended test drive, which would have shown that the Highlander would not be suitable for my needs. This appearently is an issue with the cloth seats, as the leather seats and headrests are better designed. Neither the dealer nor Toyota have been any help with my problem, so I am stuck with a very expensive ornament in my driveway. |
