Favorite feature:	the suspension
Least favorite feature:	driver's seat positioning was inadequate
Advice to buyer:	make sure that you can find a good seat position, i could not
Detailed review:	My previous car was a typically reliable Toyota, so i decided to test the Matrix even though i don't really like the exterior styling which appears strangely unbalanced to me. The first dealer i went to had a row of 20 Matrix models and not a single one had a manual transmission, which i insist on. So i went to another dealer and drove one. I remember that it felt powerful and responsive, and was manuverable. However, i could not find a comfortable driving position. If i was far enough from the wheel and pedals, i had to literally stretch to reach the gearshift. If i moved the seat forward one notch from there, my knees hit the steering column. After that realization, the Matrix was no longer a consideration. The interior materials also seemed rather cheap and if i recall correctly it was only available with a black interior, and in Florida that is not good as i can personally affirm. In summary, i find the car to be ugly on the outside, cheap on the inside, and uncomfortable to drive.
