Under powered by the ancient V6. Other GM makes have higher hp V6 with better mpg.
Advice to buyer:
Think carefully about V6 vs V8 performance, gas mileage and reliability.
Detailed review:
In comparison to our 2002 V6 LaSabre: Lives up to quiet claims for engine, air stream and tire noise.
Acceleration slightly less - requires more throttle. Instant gas mileage reading appears to be about 10% less. Turning diameter is greater. Otherwise handling similar - good at 75 mph highway as well as in town. A comfortable car with barely acceptable performance.
