shop it and unless you are towing a larger trailer/boat - found the v6 very nimble- I over power everything and the 6 was great.
Detailed review:
2005 limited v-6 w/4000 miles. Love it and glad I got the v-6. Plenty of power and smooth ride. Only fault - small one, is that seats could be a bit larger. Fixed this with a ergonomic seat cusion I had purchased previously to use for long trips. Can't say enough about the vehicle at this point. Dealer and sales person was great - tri-county toyota in limerick pa. (ask for John - internet sales - tell him tom price recommended him - only doing this as this person was head and shoulders above a couple of other sales folks at other toyota dealers. I went 20 miles further to purchase because of 'difficult' internet sales person at nearby dealer who really tried to hose me on trade. John gave me price bit over list , threw in stripe and I got 2000.00 more for my 1996 ford explorer trade in. I'll see how service works out and will report back.
Initially was going for lexux 330 or highlander-- then was hot on jeep - hemi --- glad I went with 4 runner- prefer the ruggedness of truck- but smooth ride and on road handling characteristics.
