Gas mileage on the highway is lower than what I was expecting. On two 300 mile trips, I averaged 19.2 MPG....
Advice to buyer:
Make certain you like the ride with the 20 inch rims. They look nice but ride a little rough.
Detailed review:
Both the V6 and the V8 perform great! I ended up getting the V6 as the performance from that is still much better than most other vehicles on the road. Plus the highway MPG is supposed to be much better than the V8.
The handling is excellent, though a little twitchy on the highway with the 20 inch rims. I think the 18 inch rims offer the better ride (I have the 20 inchers). The transmission and engine are synched together quite nicely when shifting at either slow or high acceleration.
This is my seventh 4WD/AWD vehicles since 1976 and this is the most fun with one that I've had. I don't need a large cargo or people hauler anymore, just big enough for 2-4 people and their stuff, and this fits the bill perfectly.
