 Advice to buyer:

Dont buy it too quickly. Its easy to love the car at first sight but it has its flaws.

 Detailed review:

This is my second TL. I owned a 2000 and decided to upgrade to the 04. I still have mixed feelings about the car. I got the car in January of 04' and have around 3500 miles on it. For those that are used to and like the typical softer Japanese ride, you better test drive this car a few times before you buy it. It handles great and has far more power than you would expect, but it comes at a price. The ride is VERY stiff and seems to rattle a bit when you hit bigger bumps. I’m sure that it has to do with the tight suspension. One BIG design flaw that I found shortly after getting the car is that when you close the front doors with the windows all the way down, the doors RATTLE. I've taken the car in twice to the dealer and have been told by the service manager that by design the window is not properly supported when it’s all the way down and thus the rattling is always going to be there. He showed me the ones in the showroom and they have the same problem. Also, I don’t know if its do to the fact that the doors have been taken apart twice now, but the front windows are noisy when going up and down. Overall the car is good and for the money you get a lot. The GPS system is nothing more than a nice toy. Unless you’re the type to get lost a lot or frequently drive in areas that you’re not familiar with, save you’re self the $. I don’t turn it on anymore. One last thing, the blue “Bluetooth” technology works great, but it needs independent volume controls for the microphone and the volume. You can hear the person you’re talking to fine, but they can’t hear you too well. To fix this, you have to turn up the volume on the radio, but then you’re speaker volume also goes up (way too loud). I got rid of the “Bluetooth” phone and no longer use this feature either.
