This truck drive better than my Chevrolet C10, which I own, witch purchase new in 1982. The Tacoma drives more like car. The gas mileage was high on the list since California is taking about $3.00 per gal gas prices. I have purchase a truck new and have found it gives me 21.5 MPH. My old C10 was getting about 10 MPH. and the new 1/2 tons are getting 17 MPH. The towing is lest on this truck but will do the job if a ever need more I will rent UHaul
