I sure wish Toyota would offer a 5-Speed Manual Transmission with the Tacoma Double Cab. It seems very peculiar that it is not an option, since this is a truck and is likely to be driven by people who enjoy working a gearshift. It rides on the same chassis as the Extended Cab, so the engineering to offer a manual transmission would be simple. Nissan's four-door Frontier offers a 5-Speed; maybe Toyota could do the same?
