Try this one on for size before spending $5,000-10000 more for a lesser car. |
Detailed review: |
I did research on the G-35 for over a year and was impressed by the response that this car was getting from the pros. To say the least, after owning one for two months now, I understand why the praise is merited.
This car almost does the driving for you, yet if you want to 'get down with it', you will know you are driving an exceptional car. Taut, yet smooth at the same time, it's as if the G knows the road you are taking.
It's surprisingly modest with the fuel for a high performer and I run at 75-80 on my 30 minute commute to work. There is plenty of comfort and room but not in excess - just enough. I rarely feel fatigued, even after 2-3 hour trips.
A drawback for me seems to be a blind spot to the right of the rear view mirror and I am still trying to adjust. Lots different from my 99 Buick Regal which I was very satisfied with, but the 35 is no Buick.
I tested the CTS, Acura TL and the BMW 325 - all very nice in their own way but in my opinion, they fell short in overall performance, handling, ride and value.
Frankly for me, this was a 'no brainer' to say nothing paying nearly $5,000 under the sticker price from the dealer. Even though I live in the middle of Missouri, I fail to understand why I don;t see more G 35's on the road. I wanted Infiniti to 'Show Me' and
they have. |
