This truck looked good and drove well. I had the V6 with 31' wheels and off-road, SR5 and towing package. At the time, I had a lot to do so I could not afford to be without reliable transportation. Since, my family had 3 Toyota’s before; I know there quality - 160k on the low end and 300K on the high and very little service time. This truck had no problems except for the recall for the light control box when towing a trailer – almost caught the truck on fire.
Things I dislike: very uncomfortable bucket seats; felt like a tin can on wheel; when I was towing or hauling the truck felt like it was straining; needed to have a stronger stability bar for turns; Rear drums brakes; Underpowered; and wished it had push button 4x4 mode with traction control.
One of my friends told me this - Just remember every vehicle has its advantages, disadvantages and problems. The decision is which problems you want to pay for and inherent.
