Detailed review: |
Love the car, the room, especially on trips. problems ariound 92,000 to 95,000. Intermitttent problem when starting engine, didn't want to stay running and occasionally died at traffic stops or when idling after warmed up. Took several months to diagnose due to inconsistency of events. Replaced, plugs (expensive platinum plugs), DPFE sensor, and some things regulating idle and fuel pressure. The last two seem to have solved the problem after more than $1000 dollars. Interior pleather on door panels very fragile. A minor impact from a plastic child booster seat split it like skin in multiple places. Cannot be repaired. Consumer reports says the 99 Expedition has some reliability problems. I would choose another year model if I was in the market for a used Expedition. Still love the vehicle though. |
