Favorite feature: |
None, its a very 'plain', family car, that I purchased for the implied reliability. |
Least favorite feature: |
The transmission shifts horribly, due, apparently, to a serious design flaw. |
Advice to buyer: |
Don't even THINK about buying a 2007 Honda accord 4cyl automatic. |
Detailed review: |
I purchased a 2007 Honda Accord, 4 cyl, automatic, a few weeks ago, June 31, 2007. I test drive the car several times on the highway, or local highway. When I got the car home and drove it on local roads, it was obvious that the transmission was not shifting correctly. I brought the car back to the dealer the day after picking it up, and they said 'Well, they all shift like that'. The transmission tech said that there are known problems with the 2007 transmissions, and honda did not have a fix yet. The dealer never mentioned any known problems with Honda transmissions. Needless to say, I'm extremely disappointed that honda would sell me this car, not tell me that there are known problems, and they can't even fix it! last week, they replaced shift solenoids, which changed the character of the problem, but did not fix it. It was obviously an attempt to patch the problem, since the car still shifts horribly at low RPM and low acceleration. I only hope the Massachusetts lemon law can force Honda to fix the car. |
