Test drive with and without the sport pkg |
Detailed review: |
I fell for the coupe's looks, but the test drive showed it has a great engine and transmission. Also comes standard with a very good sound system, which you can actually use as the coupe is a bit quieter than the roadster. The materials used in the interior and the overall design are almost impossible to fault. The Z has a much cleaner and simpler instrument/control cluster than any of BMW's other cars.
Only significant gripe is with way the run-flat tires feel on bumpy roads. The steering is very good, but falls short of the standard of my old 328i (1998). But then, so do most cars. |
