The torquey 2.4 L Inline 4 Engine. Plenty of low end torque therefore you don't need to rev it all the way.

Detailed review:
This is actually a very good car. You get alot for cheap. The punchy 2.4L engine makes passing easy and holding three digit speeds is fairly comfortable. Fuel consumption is pretty frugral. Regular Unleaded is fine to use. Rear seat is a little bit cramped but you get good trunk space. Over all a very good car, great value for the price on the ES.
