 Comments

 Favorite feature:

Impressive 5 Star Crash Test Rating from NHTSA. Powerful V6 Engine and smoothe transmission.

 Least favorite feature:

When the vehicle sits for longer than an hour, the engine takes 6 to 8 tries before it starts

 Advice to buyer:

Definately consider the 2004 Honda Odyssey or the 2004 Toyota Sienna before buying a Nissan Quest.

 Detailed review:

The 1 hour long test drive was great, and everything worked as it should. Test drove the vehicle on Wednesday 6/09/04 and purchased it on Friday 6/11/04. During the drive home the rattles and noises began. A rattle is coming from the Passenger Side Manual Sliding Door (door rubber stop missing also). The Third Row Rear Seat Anchors/Latches rattle(only when the seat is erect, no noise when the rear seat is folded into the floor). The Far Rear Manual Vent Windows rattle only when they are open and silent when shut. The engine is difficult to start (6 to 8 engine rolls before it starts) after sitting for an hour or more without running. Front End vibration at highway speeds. A new noise as of 6/23/04, the A/C Compressor makes a loud bang noise when the air conditioning is turned on initially, with the engine running. The gas mileage is not even close to the EPA of 19 MPG/City and 26 MPG/Highway. I have owned two Nissan vehicles before, and they were trouble-free. This 2004 Nissan Quest has been nothing but a major dissappointment so far. Too many issues for a first-year model.

 Also considered:

2004 Honda Odyssey
2004 Toyota Sienna
2004 Ford Freestar

 Vehicle purchased:
