The Sentra SE comes loaded, with CD/TAPE/AM-FM Sunroof and the cool looking white face gauges.
Least favorite feature:
would have to be the 'hicup' this engine has sometimes and the radio console started to rattle, this was fixed under warranty.
Advice to buyer:
Get the SE if you are looking for a performace car and want a daily driver. The SE shifts just as smooth at 2500RPM as it does at 7700(change computer to rid the 7100redline) This car can hold its own against the new Civic Si and is more practical
Detailed review:
This car is a blast to drive, with the rear multilink suspension and the power of the SR20DE 140hp 2.0L. You will have no problems keeping up with traffic or those racy Honda's. The Sentra SE gets great gas mileage despite the rather high torque engine. I average a good 31-mpg driving from San Francisco to Los Angeles. However as I was passing base and mid level Sentras on the Freeway I did notice the SE has a more harsh ride due to the suspension and the 55 series tires. Overall though the ride is very nice. If you are not into performance though, I would probably suggest the GXE or GLE. The Sentra SE is made to run and lots of aftermarket parts to prove it. Back in Japan the SR20DET (where the T stands for Turbo) is Japan's flagship for the 2.0L and under performance engine. The SE is the ultimate stealth car with few clues only Nissan enthusiast would be able to decipher.
