Advice to buyer: |
If you are looking for a solid SUV, consider the Yukon, overall very nice. |
Detailed review: |
Two of the most noticeable improvements in the 2001 Yukon are the Braking and Suspension.
I test drove a Yukon for two hours, freeway, dirt roads, and city. Braking has substantially been improved over previous models (I own a 1998 Yukon). Braking is very smooth and it does not feel like the rest of the vehicle is 'catching up with the front' as with older Yukon's. The suspension has a much improved 'tighter' feel. Over dirt/gravel roads, the ride was very smmoth and no noticeable 'hopping' over washboard areas. Turning radius has been improved also and the 5.3 Liter Vortec engine performed very responsively. |
