The truck has a very beefy look with the 31' tires on aluminum wheels and the flared fender wells sets this truck apart from some of the others. It looks like a race truck standing still.
Least favorite feature:
If I had one complaint and I didn't buy it for the back seating area but the seats might make more sense if they faced inward.
Advice to buyer:
You might pay a little more for this truck than a Ford or Chevy but if you are going to buy a Tacoma make sure you love it because it's gonna last you a long time.
Detailed review:
For anyone wanting a small compact truck that will go anywhere anytime you need look no further. The six cylinder engine is worth the extra money and the few miles per gallon less than it's four cylinder brother. I think the 5 speed is more fun but I opted for the 4 speed automatic. I have found the creature comforts like the tilt wheel, air and bucket seats while not up to my cars comfort, hey it's a truck. I was a little bit surprised by the ride down a rough stretch of paved road here in Michigan. I was beginning to wonder if the TRD Off Road Package was a bad idea. After several thousand miles I have begun to realize it's a truck and not a car. I have been getting between 20 and 21 miles to the gallon. I have installed a bedliner and tonneau cover which give the truck a nice and practical look. I'm actually looking forward to the first Michigan winter. It's a solid well built vehicle with rugged good looks which have sparked a few conversations with strangers asking about the Toyota Racing Development graphics on the sides of the bed. Maybe it's having something a little different than a Ford or Chevy. I really like my Tacoma and I plan on having it a long time.
