With all due respect to the previous author from NY, his car may have been a 'lemon'. I had same problem with my 2001 Lexus IS300. This car spent many hours at dealer's shop. At the end of my lease, I traded that car for a 2004 model, same IS300. It's been a year and not a single problem.
