Detailed review: |
I bought this new VUE in 2003, a top of line, V6 AWD with all safety features including side airbag. Saturn has usual good rep about safety, however, the 2003 VUE has a design problem with the horn when you need it. It won't react in emergent situations. As it requires pin point accuracy to press right on the mark. Later year model solved the problem with a differnt design. However, I wonder when the government wil have a recall on 2003 and other year models with same design.
Comparing to my other japanese models, VUE has problem constantly. The alignment caused me 4 tires already (my VUe is only 40,000 miles) and Saturn said it is my driving, not their problem. They gave me some restaurant gift cars and closed my disputes.
I just replace the bettery only about after 2 years owning the VUE. The battery usually has 60 months warranty. But the dealer said sorry, you have 3/36k. Ironically, the new battery I bought from dealer carrys 60 months warranty, but not the original one.
2003 VUE has a great value in terms of price comparing to other model. It looks good. But that's about it. The reseller value is much worthy than my other Honda civic. |
