Get a Civic LX instead for same price |
Detailed review: |
The Corolla S has a nice, yet contemporary appearance. The 15' alloy wheels, spoiler and foglights are a nice touch. Ride is quiet and smooth at around 50mph, but steering doesn't feel tight enough. Has good trunk space, decent rear legroom. Acceleration and braking is average. The Corolla lacks standard safety features like ABS and side airbag. Interior trim is sporty, with red-illuminated gauges and leather steering wheel. Fabric looks a bit tacky and cheap, and center armrest is a bit too small.
Overall, you would be better off buying a Honda Civic LX or even a Scion tC, as the price is not much higher. The Corolla is basically a 2003 design, and is outdated compared to the Civic. |
