How come trucks cost so much? |
Advice to buyer: |
Get the V6 engine |
Detailed review: |
4WD extracab: The quality of this truck inspires confidence. There is no 'tininess' like early light trucks had; when you close the door it goes 'clunk' not 'clink'. The ride is solid and smooth. The V6 coupled with a button to tell the auto trans to use higher rpms makes the truck move-out quick. The 1639 lbs payload puts it up there with the full sized trucks. The paint job is good: very little orange peal. I've put 1000 miles on my new Tacoma and haven't found anything wrong with it-the squawk list is empty. I looked at alot of trucks and shopped around alot. The more I looked the more I could see cheepness in the GMCs, Chevys, Fords, and Dodges. The Tacoma is a very well built truck, and, the Insurance Institute gives it the best rating for crashworthyness in its class. I wasn't before, but now I'm a Toyota guy. |
