I purchased this vehicle with the 4.8 engine to pull my 16.4 foot bass boat. I didn't need too much power, but enough that there would be no strain (love the tow/haul feature, too). This engine is the perfect compromise between power & economy. I have experienced zero defects in my year & a half of owning it. I get 22 mpg on the highway without towing and 16 mpg towing. This beats anything I know of, including a lot of suv's! It feels like it should last for 200,000. miles! Buy one again? In a minute!
