Detailed review: |
This is my second Expedition. I had a 1997 for 3 years and this one for 1 year. The 2000 is improved in how the automatic 4-wheel drive works. Sitting posture and comfort are unbeatable. Outstanding features are seating for 8-9 people, enormous cargo space with the 3rd row removed, good styling for such a big vehicle, commanding view of the road, good pickup even with the smaller engine, dual-zone climate control, combination door lock, and sure handling in snow and high water. Less desirable characteristics include poor milage (12-17 mpg), poor view when backing up (optional backup warning system should remedy that), and height that prevents parking in some city garage buildings. I also have had to bring the vehicle in under warranty for recalls and minor problems. |
