Advice to buyer: |
Don't buy it unless you REALLY want it and don't mind incredibly slow service for a common problem. |
Detailed review: |
I bought the SE-R (For some reason this site said the SE-R 'was not found in our database' so I'm putting it as an S) with three ideas in mind: gas mileage, reliability and decent performance. I'm actually angry with my purchase.
1) The gas mileage, while not terrible, wasn't THAT much of an improvement over my previous vehicle (V-6 Camaro.)
2) The much vaunted japanese reliability has failed the Sentra and Nissan. No more than five months after I bought it, the throttle body went out. I brought it in immediately for warranty and here I am, over 2 months later with the throttle body yet to be replaced.(Partially a service problem but when I bought the car I also paid for my three year warranty and I want service, not excuses.) I'm thoroughly disillusioned in this catagory.
3) The performance of the car is passable. The steering is responsive and the vehicle's light weight make it feel more nimble than it is. The acceleration is passable... even comparable to my '98 Camaro.
Two strikes already... this car is almost out. |
