We considered and rejected the new Volvo in selecting this vehicle. See the Consumers Union survey in September 2003. |
Detailed review: |
We purchased the MDX from Pohanka Acura (Fairfax, Va.)in September and could not be more pleased. The only complaints are small ones such as awkwadly placed cup holders, non illuminated controls on the steering wheel, lack of A/C controls on the steering wheel, etc. But we enjoy this vehicle very much. It has gotten 25 MPG on InterState driving and generally gets about 20 with a mix of local and open road driving. The engine has more than enough power. The handling is easy. My wife, who tends to be intemidated by new things rapidly felt at home, especially good, since I went on travel immediately after taking delivery. It is now 'her's.' It does not have the comfort or luggage capacity of our Town Cars, but it is much better in foul weather and that is what we wanted for some long trips. We highly recommend the car and the dealer. |
