Favorite feature: |
AWD stability, strong engine, overall quality exceeds Honda and Toyota |
Least favorite feature: |
second cupholder in center console is worthless, no light in glove box, rear seat legroom reminds me of my old Camaro, weak stereo |
Advice to buyer: |
So long as rear seat legroom can take a back seat, buy this car. Think carefully before spending an extra $1500 for the outback upgrade; you'll find it's mostly cosmetic and useless. Don't upgrade the stereo at the dealer, it's a rip-off. |
Detailed review: |
I believe that good handling is what makes a car fun to drive. I compared most of the other vehicles in this class and the Impreza put the Civic and Corolla to shame. I also found that the base engine is the strongest in comparison to the competition.
This car also has a very utilitarian feeling to it. No nonsense transportation. Practical yet still very classic and stylish. It sticks out from the massive crowds of Civics and Escorts, and it does this tastefully and quietly. A rare quality, especially in the compact-car segment of this industry.
Plus, research your area dealer's cost structure before going in to the showroom because they WILL try to overcharge you if they believe you are uneducated. You should pay way below sticker. |
