The Air Conditoner really kicks. |

Everything I put in the storage compartment under the climate control slides out when I drive! |
Advice to buyer: |
If you're buying on a budget, don't be talked into the GXE when the XE is a great car. |
Detailed review: |
This being my first new car purchase, I was looking at everything--the Protege, the Echo, the Saturn SL, Corolla, Civic, Neon, etc. I just absolutely fell in LOVE with the Sentra the moment I drove it. I seemed to fit perfectly. I can reach everything without moving around, and it seems like all features are ergonomically designed--from door locks to gear shifter.
Despite what everyone says about the XE being a basic box, I totally disagree. I have three friends who bought new Hyundais for more than I paid for my Sentra and all of them are really disappointed with their cars. Sure, I would've liked the GXE or SE, but I have A/C and CD in my XE, and it works like a dream. It's zippy, fun, and sophisticated enough to stand apart from the less stylish Progege.
All this I got for 12,800 after the rebate.
The interior is much more stylish than the Protege, especially the stereo--the one in the Protege looks like a black plastic box, while the Sentra's stero looks like one I might have picked out myself. Even without all the deluxe options, this car rocks.
