Favorite feature: |
The TRUNK! |
Least favorite feature: |
No curtain airbags or headrests and 3 point seatbelts at all seating areas. |
Advice to buyer: |
Gas tank is 31 gallons on the 5.3l but the gas doesn't last long, so buy only the engine/tranny size that you will really require. |
Detailed review: |
We bought the 2002 Suburban 1500 4WD two weeks ago and couldn't be happier with the truck. It rides smoothly, and quietly. The interior is well finished off and the controls are easy to use and stereo is powerful. It hugs the road when cornering or braking. I highly recommend the auto ride feature. She towed a 3,500 lb. boat and trailer last week and we couldn't tell it was towing at all! The 3rd row seat is easier to get to than in previous models because the passenger side middle seat slides forward. I am 5'3' and the running boards are a must for ease of entry. The rear is very spacious. A friend of mine owns an Expedition and with the 3rd row seat in place, it can't fit two beach chairs, baseball & track & riding equipment bags (typical 3 children gear) in it. Time will tell whether it holds together like a Toyota or Honda, but we are hopeful! |
