While car shopping I found the Nissan Sentra the only vehicle priced within $500
of the Hyundai Elantra. Don't be fooled by the low Starting price! Once you equip the Sentra GXE to an equivelant level of the Elantra it costs only about $400 more. This includes all the goodies except for the rear spoiler, indash CD changer and the ABS and side airbag group. Add those and the price jumps another $1500! The car has a nice engine with some high tech features but it's less powerful and slightly less fuel efficient than the Elantra's engine. Was seriously considering this vehicle until I test drove it. Very noisy inside and a very stiff suspension. That's great if you like sports cars but a sport car this is not. Also very cramped rear, children would be tight.
Had an awesome sounding 7 speaker CD stereo system. Not a bad car, certainly better than any domestic small car and priced better than any of the Big Japanese brands; Honda, Toyota, Mazda. Just did not sit well with me even after playing with it for an hour and fending off a pesky salesman who did'nt know from nothing but 'Do we have a deal?' |
