I owned my last Galant for 15 years. Not particularly taken with the new styling I was not going to buy one. Then I drove a GTS. Smooth power immediatley on tap, crisp, precise and cotrolled handling (I've already made some fast avoidance moves). I was sold - this is simply a great drivers car for the price.
They should have included a few more small storage areas (for coins and stuff), and the shift layout is not the best for the performance driver. I use the autostick all the time - and the odd time I slip from D into N. Reverse is also hard to find in a hurry. That should be cleaned up.
Great sound system, plays burned CD's, Leather, auto climate, TCS etc., etc., - it's really only missing a GPS system. Took me awhile to find the audio controls on the back of the steering wheel -properly placed but well hidden!
Far nicer interior than an Altima, and Camry (from a Driver's perspective). Eventhough I'm not totally keen on the styling, still beats the bland styling of a Honda.
Overall, this is a drivers car, with an almost perfect balance between comfort, 4 door versatility and performance. You simply HAVE to drive it if you're shopping.
The warranty etc. is simply bonus. |
