The Goodyear OEM tires are awful in rain. Will replace for this winter.
Advice to buyer:
Expect a lot of casual conversations about it. People always ask how we like it.
Detailed review:
We've had a manual EX AWD for 10 months now. We've put more miles on it than either our Jaguar S-Type or MB CLK430 Cabrio in those 10 months. We'll use the Element for trips shopping (even a Costco visit can't overload it), to the city (smaller than the other two for tight streets and parking in San Francisco), with the grandkids (they love the clamshell doors and elevated seating in back), bad weather (AWD) and trips to the vet (how else would you haul the dogs?). Even took it on a road trip to AZ rather than either of the other too. 23 to 26 mph with speeds in the 70-80 mph range. When my daughter graduated and moved to San Francisco, the Humette made a bunch of 100 mile rount trips to haul her stuff. Great vehicle!
