 Detailed review:

We have had this car for the past 16 months. When we choose this car, I expected to be driving it as a mom-mobile for mostly local trips here and there, but that was not to be. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I find myself driving about 600 - 750 miles per week. That being said, I am more than a tad disappointed with this vehicle. With only 26,000 miles on this car, we have had to replace the transmission, the windshield TWICE, all 4 tires, the electronic wheel balance, a stereo speaker, and the passanger seat frame. The brakes have needed to be 'adjusted'. The car has been in the shop for over 50 days so far. Currently we are experiencing trouble with the second transmission, the power windows, the heating/air conditioning system ... the list never seems to end. With all of the driving I do, the gas consumption is outrageous. When doing local errands, I can only expect to get 13 - 14 MPG. On the highway or with combination driving I usually get 18 - 19 MPG. Acceleration is average, and far below what I'd expect from the larger V6 my husband paid extra for - 4 cylinder Ford Focus's routinely pass me on expressway on-ramps. Although this car is fairly comfortable for an average driver, it is small for my husband who is 6'2' and 200 lbs. I would try to dissuade most people from buying this car. Reliability is sketchy at best. It seems to be more of a man's ego-booster than anything else.
