Despite lousy gas mileage and a few quirks my year-old Sorento has actually been a good vehicle. I would say great except for 1) the rubber seal on the rear hatch that still leaks, even in a light rain and even though it has been replaced twice, 2) an oil leak at 10 months that is still leaking, 3) a faulty thermometer that was repaired on the first attempt and 4) did I mention lousy gas mileage?
On the good side it is quite roomy, has an above average in-dash CD/Cassette player with 10 speakers, is a breeze to drive, power assisted steering that allows a u-turn with a just single finger on the wheel, 3 power outlets, and a Hi and Low 4WD setting that got me through lots of deep snow last winter. And, at $23,000 for a 6-Cyl, 4-WD vehicle whose nearest competitor would cost a minimum $6,000 more it is a bargain (even with a couple of flaws). |
