Test drive and always drive on bumpy surface to match real world pavement.
Detailed review:
I puchased a 2004 Saturn VUE Redline and I feel that all the reviews are right on target. I like the handeling (considering I just came off a lease of a Porsche Boxter).
The car/SUV is a ROCKET! No question about it. I think on tough cornering I notice a little body roll and possible oversteer. Braking is very good but I was suprised on the gas milage. I guess I was use to the Boxter and this is a large/medium SUV. One Major problem that suprised me was that the bolts that hold the front passengerside fender panel were all loose on my brand new vehicle. In fact I would not have found out until I noticed my orange front corner marker passenger light was dangeling by it's wire. When I opened the hood I noticed all the bolts from the light to the windshield were loose.
Saturn should do a better job on the fit & finish.
Also the ride is very harsh in some bumpy road conditions. Got jolted around alot. I ride in Manhatten (NYC).
