The 2004 Pontiac Vibe is a 4-door, 5-passenger wagon, available in 3 trims, ranging from the Base to the GT. The 2004 Pontiac Vibe's competitors include the Chevrolet Aveo, the Subaru Impreza, and the Volkswagen Jetta Wagon. Upon introduction, the Base is equipped with a standard 1.8-liter, I4, 130-horsepower engine that achieves 29-mpg in the city and 36-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard, and a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional.
